Thanks to the help of a WWII reenactment group and great collectors we had the honor to portray a soldier during a moment of intimate rest. The intent was to show the weariness of the war.
92nd US Infantry Division, also known as "Buffalo", in 1945 was fighting along the Gothic Line, just a few km from our studio. We therefore felt honored to work on this project.
